The 0104ST MCMA (Multi-Cell Micro-transducer Array) planar speaker from FPS is the slimmest MCMA speaker available. The 0104ST is uniquely suited for ultra-narrow applications where space is at a minimum. Two motors on each side are connected together, making the C0104ST a dual voice coil driver that is capable of stereo playback. The 0104ST works great for flat TV and computer speaker applications, automotive and commercial POS and signage applications.

All MCMA transducers are passive so external amplification is required. The 0104ST speakers handle up to 5 watts + 5 watts RMS (10 watts + 10 watts max) at 4 ohms + 4 ohms. This speaker has a very thin frame so it is ideal for building line arrays where center to center distance is important. Four separate high-energy motors drive a very durable single carbon fiber diaphragm. The 0104ST like it’s mono counterpart is a low distortion speaker with very focused output capable of creating a planar wave form from 250Hz to 15kHz.

Some of the benefits of using the 0104ST speaker over a conventional cone speaker with similar specifications are; significantly less mounting depth and back volume is required, MCMA have minimal acoustic feedback, much faster transient response, dipole capability and high resistance to water and temperature.
